About Me

Welcome! I am a creative entrepreneur based in central Missouri. A bit of a free-spirit combination of punk and corporate-friendly personas.

Professional stuff

Marketing

Marketing — mainly strategy, content, and design — is how I make most of my living. I started in 2003 as a graphic designer, worked for a couple of newspapers, then worked in-house at a semiconductor company for 12 years. I started taking outside clients in 2012 and became fully independent in January 2017. The majority of my clients have been technical businesses (science, technology, engineering, etc.), but I’ve also worked with several non-technical clients.

Photography

Photography began as a hobby for me in high school, but quickly became a useful professional skill when I went to work as a designer. I continued to develop my skills over the next many years, and now I do several independent photography gigs every year. Professionally, I mainly shoot commercial/industrial photography, events, and some portraits. I do some nature and casual photography for fun on the side.

Music

Music has been an important part of my life since I was a kid. It fell by the wayside for several years due to stresses from my corporate job and other related personal issues. But lately, I have rediscovered a sense of purpose in music — a creative outlet that allows me to push my limits and create work of which I can be truly proud.

Everything else

I have more interests than time, sadly. But when I do get time, I tend to rotate between wine, tea, languages, personal development, movies, and probably some other things I can’t remember.
